Deptt. of Youth Affairs Govt. of sanctioned another Half NSS Unit to Ramgarhia Polytechnic College Phagwara in addition to already existing one unit on the basis of excellent performance. More than 250 NSS Volunteers are serving the society in various fields like Aids, drugs addiction, Blood donation, Disaster preparedness, Cleanliness, Carrier Guidance, Blood Donation, Tree Plantation, Pulse Polio Drive etc. was organized under the guidance of Eminent Citizen of India Prof .Virender Kumar (State & National Awardee) NSS Programme Officer.

10 days NSS camp was organized under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Virender Kumar at village Sangatpur. This camp was inaugurated by Principal Vir Singh and presided over by Chairman Punjab Agro Food S. Joginder Singh Mann. Prof. Virender kumar was deputed as NODAL officer YUVA (Youth united for victory on AIDS) Ministry of youth affairs and sport programme for adolescent quiz at Distt. Level and observer at state level quiz.

NSS Deptt of this college celebrated Van Mahotsav. S. Bharpur Singh Bhogal, Chairman and President Ramgarhia Educational Council inaugurated the Van- Mahotsav campaign S. Vir Singh Principal, Prof. J.S. Phull, Prof. S.K. Prabhakar, Sh. Malkiat Singh Raghbotra, President, Nagar Council Dr. Amarjit Chousar, Vice-President Environmental Association, Phagwara, Sh. Bhatti Range Officer Forest Deptt. were present at this occasion. More than 500 plants were planting under the supervision of Prof. Virender Kumar.

Deptt. of Youth Affairs Punjab Chandigarh sanctioned a special grant for the Inter-State Tour (Haridwar, Rihikesh) for NSS Volunteers & the same was organized under the leadership of Prof. Virender Kumar.
